“Yves Delange dans son éditorial, avec à l’appui quelques exemples significatifs, souligne l’inconstance des hommes qui porte les uns à détruire sans scrupules les productions de la nature, les autres à tenter désespérément de les sauvegarder.”

• “Photographier les plantes succulentes dans les régions arides de l’Afrique du Sud.” Martin Heigan.
Martin Heigan nous fait partager la passion de son métier de photographe avec un florilège de photos de fleurs de plantes succulentes découvertes au cours de ses voyages dans les zones arides sud-africaines.

• Sedum amplexicaule DC.” Frédéric Andrieu.
Sedum amplexicaule est une espèce des montagnes de la région méditerranéenne. C’est un taxon discret et méconnu. La rareté et la vulnérabilité de cette plante mérite toute notre attention.

• “Sclerocactus stricto sensu : histoire et territoires.” Jean Bonnefond.
La suite de l’histoire du genre Sclerocactus stricto sensu nous conduit notamment au Nevada, au Nouveau-Mexique et en Utah, depuis les années 1950 jusqu’au milieu des années 1980, et avec deux principaux intervenants : Lyman D. Benson et Fritz Hochstätter. Photographiquement, la part belle est donnée à Sclerocactus mesae-verdae, Sclerocactus polyancistrus et Sclerocactus wrightiae.

• “Delosperma bosseranum, une espèce rare dédiée à Jean Bosser ” Lucile Allorge.
Lucile Allorge décrit D. bosseranum, plante qui se cache à l’ombre, à l’abri d’une pierre ou d’une roche où elle est souvent associée à des Kalanchoe comme K. rosei et K. delagoensis.

• “Echinocereus triglochidiatus dans le White Sands National Monument, Nouveau-Mexique.” Rick Fencl.
Rick Fencl nous explique la formation des dunes de sable blanc sur lesquelles se développe une végétation qui lutte pour survivre dont Echinocereus triglochidiatus. Reportage avec des photos magnifiques prises dans le White Sands National Monument.

• “La philatélie : Cactophilatélie et collections (2).” Évelyne Lagarrigue.
Ce nouvel article philatélique présente un échantillonnage illustré d’éléments autres que le timbre-poste, susceptibles de faire partie de toute collection thématique. Ainsi un cactophiliste averti ne manquera pas de s’intéresser notamment au support (enveloppe, carte…) qui peut s’avérer riche en indications diverses. Bonne chasse aux trésors !
